In the Beginning A half-century ago, Ducane opened the doors of a metal fabrication business in Union City, New Jersey. In the 1960s, the Ducane company relocated to its current 400,000 square foot facility in Blackville, South Carolina. A History of Achievement 1955: After nine years of manufacturing one of the best oil furnaces available, Ducane became a dominant original equipment manufacturer of oil furnaces. 1964: Ducane designed and built a line of dedicated horizontal gas furnaces so unique, it quickly became the most popular in the industry. This new design enabled Ducane to become a major supplier of gas furnaces to the industry. 1994: Ducane leveraged its strong brand and began manufacturing and distributing the "Fits-All 80" and "Fits-All 95" multi-position gas furnaces. Today, this full line offers consumers a superior value and the highest product quality.
